First Born Syndrom? -
by elderINewton inis it just me or does it seem like a large portion of first born children leave the "truth" or find ttatt?
its weird for me, but of all the other people out i know (only about 20 ish) they are all first borns, and usually the wife is as well.
just looking at this from a different lens and curious if others see the same.

OMG....the watchtardedness of the CLAM. ( Cult Lies and Manipulation )
by DATA-DOG inas we all know, the clam reeks of propaganda and lunacy (sniff...sniff...mmmmm...smells like the gb's meeting room.
what did dubs glean from the clam that washed ashore this week?
according to the book of ezra, jeehoober is so fearful of competition, that he banishes wives and even small children.

Identity Theft
by Jerryh inthis forum offers the stories of folks with as many variations as there are folks and a “great crowd” of lurkers whose stories may never be offered.
i am an outsider with a broken heart for some insiders that i love more than they know.
after reading nearly every “apostate” book ever written, lurking, being worn out searching the wt cd, i have come to an idea that i present for your appraisal..

Thank you so much for carrying, Jerryh... Many of us have been down every road that can be investigated, & found "the wicked web they weave when first they practiced to deceive" as you can see by reading the confusing articles they print.. -

JW's Funerals, Forget About The Person! Let's Preach.
by new boy ingod forbid you would talk about the dead person at his funeral.
so what do most people get after living 70-80 years?.
a 5-10 minutes eulogy.

It is rather embarrassing to have all these "outside friends" that someone worked with, they knew them, loved them, come to the K Hall, and all they hear is recruitment. The looks on their faces.... "Didn't anyone care about ___?"
Can you imagine? A "worldly" person caring more?

Swearing on the bible
by Lost and adrift inon the subject of truth.
..... i was always under the impression that one of the reasons jws couldn't do jury duty or go to court etc was that we were not allowed to swear on the bible.
..as in i swear to tell the truth the whole truth etc etc .

Thank you Blondie, the quotes you find are gold!
"If a Christian feels that he can".... "a Christian may choose to comply" ..... He may feel that he can take such an oath" "There is no Scriptural objection to taking an oath. However"....... When asked to raise a hand or place it on the Bible, " a Christian may choose to comply" "Worshipers of the true God also allowed others to put them under oath"
and the best one: "if a Christian feels that he can and should answer a question put to him in such circumstances"
Notice all the caveats the WT has ready for themselves and others to employ?

Article-Tennessean Newspaper (Nashville): "Bill ends shield for parents choosing prayer over medicine"
by AndersonsInfo inhttp://www.tennessean.com/story/money/industries/health-care/2016/01/19/bill-removes-protections-parents-choosing-prayer-over-medicine/79001194/?from=global&sessionkey=&autologin=.
holly fletcher, [email protected] 5:26 p.m. cst january 19, 2016 .
a bill filed tuesday would remove a legal shield in tennessee for parents who reject medical treatment for children in favor of treatment by prayer.. it is a crime in tennessee to fail to provide medical care to children, with an exception, known as the spiritual treatment exemption act, for parents who want to rely on "spiritual means through prayer alone," according to state code.

WT Study 1/10/16 Encouraging Child Baptism And More Nonsense
by JW_Rogue ini've noticed that each wt lesson really only has one or two points they want remembered.
normally they build up to these by about the third subheading.
this week's lesson though was different, the main point was insidiously made through an experience in the first paragraph:.

New WT pdf tells children to report. Irony?
by wifibandit inpdf.
why won't watchtower tell abusers "i'm going to tell on you!
" and follow through with the proper authorities?
-

In my experience, any one a child might tell has been trained to think, "We wouldn't want to bring reproach on Jehovah's name!"
.... I heard it myself..... the relative was more concerned about "the congregation" and "the organization" than the child who was abused.
So sad.

New here
by MarkofCane inhello and thanks to everyone for participating on this forum it has really been of much value, for those of you that post here know that your words are not lost you never know who is reading your expressions, lives are being changed and nonsense challenged.
i’m not much of a writer so excuse my untrained writing style and grammar but i want to share my story to help anyone who is visiting here to see that we are real people, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters who have come here for answers, there is no agenda, just searching for truth.
i hope my story will help others as so many here have helped me..

Well, if you want to save your self some worry, problems, time and possible head cutting off.... get sick the week of his visit... OR 'get a job out of town'.... haha.... The more you meet, the more likely they will be to hunt you down. It never is really about 'how you are doing', it's really about what you are doing... right?
It is sad, but they have more questions to ask than a 2 year old, and they really, really 'want to keep the congregation clean.' Really..... don't meet.

Very important, you must save JWs from dieing at Armageddon!
by Crazyguy inevery drop of breast milk has roughly 1 million white blood cells in it.
so the next time you see a jw drink milk or eating milk with his cereal etc.
you must run over and take it out of his/her hands and then give them a stern warning.

I don't think it will work... If I was still a dub, I would reply, 'God made breast milk for kids, he knew that it has white blood cells, but he still forbid blood, and gave breast milk"...but, you never know????? maybe it will help some.
